I agree in that to me, Mexicans are kinda their own people and by their own admission too. They are not quite as mixed with Spaniards and blacks as say PRs, DRs, Cubans etc all of whom I consider to be "latinos." A lot Mexicans will be the first to tell you they don't consider themselves "latinos" but instead, Natives.
