if bob and bruce trully thought that cotto would easily beat vanes thats the fight that would be happening instead of the mayorga fight. When's this guy gonna get a break around here? But a better question is when is he going to finally land a good fight? And believe, it's of no fault of his own. He obviously genuinely yearns for a title-shot, but all the current title-holders are missing in action.

the kids been on the shelf looking for a fight since june. i can imagine this would be a tune up in the hopes of landing a fight vs Dziniziruk. Dzinziruk was ordered by the WBO to fight his first two mandatories a few weeks ago or risk losing his belt and Vanes is ranked #1 by the WBO. i know for a fact that Shaw approached for the fight and he said "we have other plans for Sergiy", so that tells me he would rather risk losing his belt rather than fight vanes. i still think after this next fight vanes will fight dzinziruk for the wbo crown. thats just my educated guess... no way will cotto ever fight him, and manny is out of the question and i bet K-9 is going to avoid that fight at all costs... we'll see

I think that there is a classy way to call out fighters, and a childish way. Vanes' choice to do the latter has caused me to dislike him.
