I more than held my own sparring with RJ. You can see it on the tape. The thing is I had good defense, held my hands high and that worked with well with RJ. If you were slower than him and hands werenth igh it could be NO FUN LOL. I never sparred Gerald, though. When RJ and I sparred I was a top rated 165 pounder and he was a top rated 156 pounder. RJ had sharp power, though, as sharp as any 165 at that time.

I was 21 and RJ was 16 when we sparred? No, man. We are the same age basically. I was 20 and he was 19 at the time we first sparred

Last I heard when RJ first turned pro they offered the Korean a fight with RJ on TV here but he refused, saying he had retired from boxing because he felt disgraced for winning the gold in that fashion.

Hard to see... I mean against RJ in the Olympics he didn't look good at all other then he was very tough but at the same time he DID make it to the gold medal round of a tough weight class so who knows?
