I thought marquez prized himself out the trilogy. He wanted more than what was being offered, did he not?

Fight wouldn't last long enough for him to, not that it would matter since Pac didn't seem to have too much trouble absorbing uppercuts and other punches from the likes of Cotto, Clottey, and Margarito at 145-150. But Marquez's power coming up from lightweight is going to bother him?

Pac vs Mosley at 147 is much more competitive than Pac vs Marquez higher than 135, and Pac/Mosley won't be at all competitive IMO. That should tell you something.

even jmm knew what his weight limitations are...he already maxed out at 135. he was offered a khan fight 140 but they declined because the risk is too high and the rewards are low. he took the floyd fight because he got nothing to lose and he earned his biggest payday. same thing with a fight against pac, he got nothing to lose and everything to gain.

their 2 fights happened at 126 and 130 and jmm gave pac his hardest fight so far because of jmm's great counterpunching ability. it's totally different at higher weights. what made you think that it's going to be another close fight at 140 and up? fuck with all the "pac will always have a hard time with skilled fighters". for all of jmm's skills he also had a hard time with pac even when pac was a one-handed aggresive fighter.

in a higher weight where pac is successful and comfortable against a jmm who had a lousy performance in his only try at such weight, it's not hard to think that pac will beat jmm...easy.

                    1. Marquez with extra weight is slow as hell. During the Mayweather fight his timing was off and so was his speed.

                    2. Marquez stands infront of his opponents and has terrible defense. Given the fact that Manny is a more complete fighter offensively and has improve his power, footwork and technique means Marquez is getting destroyed

Come on man......this is like asking why people think Martinez would destroy Margarito at 160. Using those fights at 126 & 130 is as dumb as using
Margarito's win over Martinez at WW as a reason to why Tony wins at MW.

They think all because Manny is bigger he'll give Marquez hell. Last time I checked, Pacquiao has faced bigger men and destroyed them. In the end, styles make fights. The same people who say Pacquiao would destroy Marquez were the same people who said the exact same thing in 2008.

"Pacquiao's gotten better! He's faced better fighters! He's much better than 2008!"

It's a joke. If Marquez comes as a pure counter puncher and doesn't try to be aggressive(which is the reason why he was knocked down and stunned in the 2nd fight). He'll win this fight no problem. Marquez is better than DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley.
