He could have taken Benn out in the first round if he would have thrown a couple of jabs and shot the short uppercut after he KD'ed him the first time. Benn was doubled over from some of those body shots that McClellan raked him with.
He lost to Benn because he became a middleweight version of George Foreman.....just throwing big punches.
He wish he was a middleweight version of Foreman.Foreman never had a guy hurt in his prime and didnt finish him.McClellan lost because all fighters lose. And it isn't like he lost to some bum Benn was a vicious puncher himself.

He should have beaten Benn. This is a guy people on here are saying would have KO'd Roy Jones, & Antonio Tarver (fantasy fight).
Had he set his punches up more, & been more patient, he would have KO'd Benn, IMO.
Benn made himself very awkward to hit, if G-Man would of caught him cleanly it would of been lights out but Benn made himself very awkward to catch. Let's not forget that Nigel Benn at his best was the best we've ever seen in this country, he really was something!
G-Man would of beaten Jones again, no doubt about that. But he'd of always had trouble with Benn because Benn was so awkward and just on styles you can visualise how Benn would of always of given him trouble no matter what.
