Amir might have speed but his defensive skills is lacking. His counterpunching ability is almost zero as revealed in his last fight. I don't think he is ready for floyd even if he cleans up 140.

He is young and I hope his handlers don't mess him up by rushing him.

I hope he fights the winner of Bradley/Alexander, then gives Maidana a rematch or go for Andriy Kotelnik. I hope he wins them all convincingly so he can move up to WW.

I would suggest his handlers put him up in a tune-up fight at WW to test his competence in handling that weight class. Clottey or Zaveck should be a nice tune-up for him. After that, he could go for the undeafeated UK star Kell Brook or Berto. If he wins these fights convincingly, then that will be the time I can say he is ready for Floyd or Manny.

Khan is a work in progress...so was Floyd in his first big fights...

Khan is very, very, very gifted.
BUT I thought he had no chin, he proved me wrong this time, I still have some doubts, cuz finally he was closed to get KTFO by Maidana...

Khan should beat a guy like Maidana 120-108 or a TKO, he lost 4 rounds and almost get KTFO like I said wich show us he still needs to learn A LOT.

I would say Kahn is at 50% of his best, wich is crazy cuz dude managed to beat guys like Kotelnik (Alexander's daddy) and Maidana (Ortiz's daddy) being a young green fighter as well.

Roach is talking about a fight in two years, if Khan confirms again Prescott was an accident, and beat Peterson, Bradley,Ortiz and Berto in row, then yes, Mayweather will have a hell of an opponent.

i think roach is just trying to bait mayweather tp fighting khan. dont know why because this fight will be very one sided. only fighter out there capable of beating floyd is pacquiao. i just hope floyd gets his stuff together so that he can fight pac at the end of the year or in 2012

he still looks nervous in his fights, especially against maidana u could see that in his eyes that he is very, very nervous.
which is also the reason why he couldnt stick to roach's game plan, or why he was trying to touch gloves 2-3 times even though he knew maidana would take advantage of every little opportunity to take his head off, i dont think he will be able to change that tbh.

Fight with Mayweather?

Why do Roach and Khan feel that Mayweather will come out of the shadows to fight them? What is the reward for Mayweather? Mayweather is not even thinking about Khan and he luckily escaped with a win after getting a pounding from Maidana. Mayweather would kill Amir Khan. Amir Khan needs to fight more opponents and look good. He is thinking about the big time too quickly. This fight will never happen. Khan is getting ahead of himself.

The hardest test at 140 Will be Bradely and definetely no Khan, And yeah I do see him clearing out 140. Look at Hopkins, what he does at his age!! Marquez is another Hopkins my man, a ring technician!!!
