Comments Thread For: Huck vs Lebedev: WBO To Review Split Decision

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) will analyze the split decision from last Saturday's fight between cruiserweight champion Marco Huck of Germany and Russian challenger Denis Lebedev, says the challenger's manager Vladimir Hryunov. Huck won the split decision but there were many others who felt Lebedev did enough to win. The WBO has requested tapes of the fight and other relevent documents for review.

Yeah, just like they reviewed the Shumenov-Campillo split decision.

Not the same organisation. Still deserves a review though, but it probably won't get overturned

You're right, that was the WBA.

Nothing will happen but at least the WBO realizes it was BS

I need to see this fight.

I didn't think Lebedev was going to lose. He's a scary guy.

The German's will not rematch Lebedev.

Best they'll do is recommend a rematch.

                  Thrilling.

Serious question: What's the most that's ever happened from anything like this? Have any of the sanctioning bodies ever actually changed a decision after a review of this kind?
