He's far different from them because he manages fighters and helps co-promote events involving rivals promoters like Teiken.

That guy writing is like having Arum head matchmaker do articles on Golden Boy events.

That Joe Koizumi is harsh on the Kameda clan is true, but it is not well known that Joe was once a supporter for the Kameda brothers. I dunno why they went their separate ways, but that sure was when Koizumi started to write bad about the brothers. Rumors going around were like that the family made too many demands on the matchmaking of Joe and he lost faith in the family. Believe it or not, this is the rumors.

And let me tell you one thing. The Kameda brothers, especially Koki, are hated by many and loved by few in Japan primarily because of their disgraceful motormouth and trash talking. Koki once said on TV that Arce has a very poor technique and he can easily beat him. He also said on TV that Pacquiao's boxing skills were awful. He also paid some disrespect to the then world champions Japan had proudly produced. The brothers made comments like; Nashiro and Kawashima were like snot. Tokuyama's fights are as dull as they get. Nishioka was pathetic because he had failed four times in a row at world title shots, and many more. And yet, Koki recently made a remark that he wanna be a JP equivalent of Manny Pacquiao.

That's why Kameda is hated by us JP fight fans, let alone Joe Koizumi. It's not about their boxing skills, but their lowlife attitudes which are a blasphemy to the sport of boxing.
