On May 15th of this year Paulie Malignaggi suffered a humbling loss at the hands of British star Amir Khan. Fighting at the WaMu theatre inside of Madison Square Garden, the former champion seemed befuddled for the first time in his career and didn’t have any answers for Khan’s fluid combinations or sharp power punches, eventually suffering an 11th round TKO in his bid for the WBA junior welterweight championship.

“People always ask me ‘Well, you’re coming up in weight, you’re not that strong and you are going to lose your speed now that you’re heavier’. But it had gotten to the point that I was so flat from making weight that I didn’t have the speed anyways. After that fight I knew I had to make a move.”

Maybe the same for Pacquiao you bitterly accused of roiding after he beat your daddies Hatton and Cotto .

Since Malgnaggi is training now at Wild Card, there is a great possibility that he can spar with Pacman!

Malignaggi should entertain the idea of fighting Marquez at 147lbs!

A year ago he was the outspoken critic of Golden Boy and the Wildcard fighters...what a clown.

Paulie can be too mouthy at times but on the whole he seems to be a nice enough guy. Not much happening at 147 nowadays, so he can grab a belt off one of the lesser champions. I won't be surprised to see him fight Berto next year. It all depends on Pac-JMM 3 coming together or not after Mosley.

Apart from the I killed ymself to make 140 when he was like 138 VS Juan or something, but anyway, Paulie always talks sense.

Good read, Pualie always got something to say.
