    Olympic heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (21-0, 15KOs) is planning to fight again in April 2011. He injured his right hand during last Saturday's decision victory over Nicholas Firtha in Germany. He suffered a wrist tendon tear in the second round. Povetkin continued the fight and won a decision. Manager Vladimir Hryunov says his boxer will begin light training sessions in February.

    This guy was one of the most touted, and exciting to watch, hw prospects approx 3 years ago. I'm still optimistic on Povetkin but it seems like his boxing career has gone way downhill (and that's not because of a loss..). Hope Alex can get back to top form in 2011!...

          The division's so weak and there's so many belts that he'll definitely make it back to mandatory challenger status, but he'll probably just back out again.
