Odd move. He should just work in the gym. A new trainer with new impulse would help him. Not a silly tune-up with injury-risk.

Far better off getting at least one fight under your belt with a new trainer before going in cold with Ward. His confidence got rocked in this tournament, first Dirrell then Froch, so a win before Ward would help as well.

I think its a good idea for Arthur to have a tune up. His confidence is on a alltime low. Besides that, who would be a good trainer for Abraham? In germany there is no better trainer for HIM than Wegner. Who was the trainer of Winky Wright? Maybe that would be a good choise. Or the trainer of Glen Johnson, Orlando Cuellar. Roach is to busy and a Mayweather would be nothing for Abraham. You shouldnt try to chance him to much, just work on his workrate and combinations. Ward doesnt punch hard, but Arthur will still not be able to run him over wear him down. Ward is too good defensive and also verry good in the infight. It would be a wonder if Abraham beats Ward. When the super 6 started i thought Kessler is the only ones i would favour over Abraham, and Ward easily has beaten Kessler, although it was a verry dirty and ugly fight. Ward cant get away with his dirty style everytime and everywhere. Thats why he only fights in his backyard. But about Abraham, i think he really lost the "eye of the tiger". Hes not hungry anymore.

I hope he lands a lucky KO punch on Ward though, I don't know who I dislike more.. Ward or AA.

Good idea. AA needs a win very badly. Going into a Ward fight thinking he needed a tune up gives him zero chance to beat Ward. Not that he'll beat Ward anyway, but he has to do something to jumpstart his career again.

That doesn't seem correct to me. What's wrong with admitting that your body has limitations? He's going to finish the tournament, that's admirable, then he's going back to where he belongs, the 160 lbs division. I don't see how that is a *****h move at all.

Abraham needs to quit stalling. Just hurry up and fight Ward already...the Super Six has gone on too long, it's time to free up these guys so they can go fight Bute.

The only reason people thought that Kessler and Abraham were the class of this tournament was because they knew next to zero about Ward and Dirrell before it all started. What had AA done prior to the tournament to be so highly regarded? He went life and death with Pantera then KO'd him (along with everyone else). In every fight he ever fought, AA looked like a classic old-school, one-dimensional, stiff European fighter, so why on earth did people imagine that he was some sort of ATG in the making? AA's problem isn't about getting back the "eye of the tiger." His problem is that he has stepped up to he big leagues and has been exposed as a B- fighter with a good chin and punch (if you stand squarely in front of him). Whether or not he can develop real skill this late is anybody's guess, but he certainly needs a lot more than just motivation and confidence. Kessler deserved to be the favorite going into the Super 6, but not an overwhelming favorite. It should be clear to anybody watching that Ward is and always was the class of the Super Six. The people who suggest that he has won because of dirty tactics and hometown judges either don't know the sport of boxing, are in denial or both.
