this exactly, Hes currently too green for Pac, but with more speed and better footwork, in other words what i mean is what i expect will be Canelo's prime, I see that Canelo as a serious threat to pull of the upset.

manroid fights nothing but washed up brawlers who are slow, im not impressed, a canelo fight would be far far better than the garbage fights hes been participating in , like his last 5. of course hes going to look great just look at who hes fighting. fighting someone in their prime and somone whos a winner not a loser makes all the difference.

Of course, he can't. Pacquiao is one in a million. The rest are wannabes, boring and could barely survive fighting bums.
umm if pac is soo great why is he fighting a washed up mosley?, or cotto or margarito??? arent all those guys bums??? why not martinez, berto , or jmm or any other top guy whos winning and in their prime???? pac has waay to much hype on his side its frustrating to watch, and its money NOT well spent. pac gets hit sooo much a Canelo fight would be a good one.I mean margarito hit him 220 times, for a slow guy like margs thats pretty damn impressive it begs the question what would a fast guy do???all pac does is fight tune- up fights he never fights the best how that makes him great is a mystery to me.to me pac aint too good hes overrated hes a solid fighter yes, but he needs to stop charging people for fighting hopeless old guys , fight a champion already , dont throw your money away on a pac fight unless its with a top guy, because your just getting a circus act not a quality prizefight.a Canelo fight would be a big step up for both guys!!! in terms of quality of opposition.

Canelo is the next big name in boxing, I see him ready for PAcquiao in 2012, I think he should face Cotto late 2011 to see how he would do against that caliber of fighters!!! But he is good people and getting better!! dont hate homies!!!

                  Give the kid a break.....

" Alvarez was asked by FanHouse how he would do against Pacquiao... "

He's not calling out Manny, don't wet your knickers.

How would you expect him to answer?

He never once said that he could beat Pacquiao, and he is absolutely correct when he said that if you were fighting Manny it would be incredibly unwise to stand right in front of him.

Canelo as Pac's farewell fight in 2012. The kid still has two more years to keep improving. It could be the most appropriate passing of the torch (that's if Canelo doesn't get retired earlier).

This kid is the next Paul Williams of this board.

                      Overrated until brutally KO'd.

I'll admit the kid has talent, but if he rushes it too quick he becomes the next Fernando Vargas.
