well, he's never had a fight at 140 and his only fight at 147 was against floyd so it may be a little too early to say he can't compete above 135. I think he could hold his own against Bradley. It would be a good, tactical fight.

You think so? He wouldn't have to come in at more than 137 or 138, and Bradley is shorter than he is and doesn't exactly have knockout power. He does have a sneaky right hand that's capable of dropping JMM, but I doubt it would even hurt him if it did. So I don't think the size advantage would be too bad. Bradley would definitely be physically stronger, but so was Katsidis. Fighting Katsidis at 135 is basically like fighting an average JWW.

        I agree,

the only winnable fights for JMM at 140 are against Morales, Hatton, and Judah...That is it after that he can't compete.

        LW is just his limit.

Easy win for JMM. Bradley is overrated, can't punch, and doesn't have the skills to compete with JMM.

Nope,u can forget about tactics against Bradley & just throw it out the window!!Bradley is a physically strong jr welter & he's simply gonna come forward & throw tons of punches, out muscle outfight & downright just beat the crap out Marquez!!

No way,Katsidis doesn't have Bradley's strength!!Marquez has been dropped by smaller fighters while Bradley showed enough power to drop welterweights,Bradley is simply too much of an elite offensive machine for a much smaller Marquez!!

You can tell Arum wants this fight. He's said nothing but good things about Bradley, which is unheard of when it comes to guys who wants Pac. Perhaps a win over Berto afterwards would make it look even better.

A win over Bradley for JMM is also HUGE. He'd not only be the first Mexican to win a title in four different divisions, but he'd also satisfy Arum, who said a win over Berto or Bradley would make him want to make Pacquiao-Marquez III happen. Bradley's a young, durable opponent with handspeed, head movement and footwork who can also brawl, so if Marquez could take on somebody with that, it would prove that he can hang with the big guys.

What do you guys think of this fight? Should it happen if both get by their next opponent? And if so, who would win?
have you not learned anything about arum after so long...if jmm wins, specially by ko, he will make up some other bs of jmm still not being deserving and other crap. The fact to the matter is that arum fears jmm and so does team pac.

I think he can compete with Bradley and Alexander. Style wise Khan would easily decision him. Alexander may be ripped as hell, but he's skinny and smaller than a lot of other JWWs. He also struggles against boxers. Bradley is also shorter than JMM by an inch and probably matches him in power. JMM also could come in at a weight he's comfortable in, like 137 or 138.

I am a huge JMM fan, but his legacy isn't gaining that much by fighting Morales at this stage. The only reason I can stomach that fight somewhat is because JMM can always fight better opponents later like Hopkins did after he beat Roy Jones. I lost respect for Hopkins for fighting Roy Jones and I don't like the fact JMM is fighting Morales.

                    I think JMM would win...

I would like to see Khan vs JMM and Ortiz vs Bradley/Alexander winner... loser of Bradley/Alexander fights Judah. Judah vs Ortiz would work as well..

GBP would never put JMM in there against Bradley before Khan.

JMM is barely a lightweight, but he's so great, he can compete against Bradley and beat him. People forget that Mayweather was not only bigger, stronger, and faster, but a safety first defensive specialist.

Mayweather usually cuts into his opponents' output, but JMM actually increased his normal punch output and took 300+ punches after moving up 2 weight divisions. JMM kept trying and never stopped coming forward, Mosley became tentative after taking a few counter shots and couldn't move forward.

JMM-Bradley would be a competitive and tossup fight if it happened in 2011. JMM would beat Alexander if he ever faced him. Khan would be the toughest macthup though and when JMM moves up, he will probably be the opponent. I hope GBP doesn't try some **** like that.
