cotto gets no credit for beating mayorga. this fight is simply a stay busy / tune up fight for cotto to get used to training with steward.

what lopez is doing is ridiculous,he contradicts himself,he says he wants big fights which is why he didn't want caballero,but fights this unknown? atleast make it someone from your own weight class,someone who has faced good opposition,this unknowns opponents have a lot of losses..cotto and lopez next fights are dissapointing,exept of course to their fans,if this were any other champ facing mayorga they would be calling mayorga a bum

margarito fought garcia after mosley.cotto has been in with margarito,clottey and pacquiao.its nobodys fault cotto made things look easy.i remember when he was supposed to get outboxed by foreman,that if he doesn't beat him he should retire yada yada yada.margarito wanted to stand there and look like a rag doll.ever heard of the meaning avoid punishment to seek better days? mayorga is a bum, this is simply a stay busy fight 4 cotto in preperation 4 plasterito. juanma fighting kennedy sucks, i wanted rojas in pr. that would have been good. oh and **** cab, let him rematch litzau.

it will be 3 years too late,margarito is done,and nobody can't deny that,since he got ko'd by mosley,he's done,didn't look good against garcia and to those that doubt maybe it was just the long layoff(like me) he got beat up badly against pacquiao,,three fight in a row he hasn't looked good,as a matter of fact he looked terrible...i think cotto should just fight a better fighter,not someone who is finished

If it's too late it is only because of Margarito's fault for getting caught cheating and being suspended. If he would have not been suspended, I'm pretty sure the rematch would had come sooner.

Catchweight for Martinez...probably yes (157 lbs). Not a big deal because Sergio was willing to come down to 155 for Pacman.

I disagreed with you when you said that plenty of times over and over again for the Pacman fight. In this case I would have to admit that if he does lose to Mayorga he should consider the retirement.

If Cotto wins I see you saying that Mayorga is old and Cotto didn't show nothing in the fight, doesn't matter how well Cotto performs.

I do beleive that Cotto will not and probably should not get much credit for what should be a tune up fight, however this is a good strategy to keep Cotto busy, with a busy offensive fighter with a good chin (a bit similar to Margarito) while getting use to Stewart and preparing for Margarito. At the same tome he woudl probably help sell the fight better than the other candidates mentioned.
I just hope it doesn't backfire or there is no serious cut that can delay Cotto-Magarito II.

Ive never heard such uproar about an obvious tune-up.
I know bob arum has been boning us hard lately but **** id rather watch my favorite fighters fight rather then sit on the bench like Don King is prone to do.

Who cares? Margarito deserved 24 rounds against Pac, and Cotto deserves his revenge. We all know why.
