A counter-puncher is not necessarily only one type of style. Marquez is more of a counter-brawler. He counters with combinations in the exchanges and he's some how able to pull back a little bit, just enough, to avoid your shots and he's got a good enough assembly of weapons to beat you himself. Eventually, those reflexes will go completely, and like all counter-punchers he'll be beaten dramatically. Against the type of leather Mosley throws, and at the weight he'd have to fight Mosley at, he'd be seriously damaged. That's a terrible fight for JMM.

There's no reason to believe he'd beat Mosley at all. Unless you can make them the same size, of course.
