writers are biased against BHop... and biased against Maidana...


Their little backhanded complement of him is sort of tarnished by the article written by the simpleton that said Maidana has no skill.. just heart and power. He has an ability to chain arching combos. He has more than heart and power that is ridiculous.. Why do so many people downplay Maidana?

I can tell you now the lad who done the bit about Maidana is a fan of his.

The bit about Nard is actually pretty factual IMO aswell. Just because someone makes a point about a fighter does not mean they are bias.

Have you watched all of Maidana's fights? Clearly not. Anyone that says Maidana has no skill gets nothing from me. His defense could be better and thats an understatement... but his offensive skills and ability to make minor adjustments in range places him above the all heart/no brains archetype.

To be fair though its not the worst bias I've seen. I read a round by round of Khan-Maidana the other day that was just outright disgusting. Completely all over Khan's family ***els... Give credit to both fighters, I say. That fight would not be a FOTY candidate without Maidana. Maidana brought the fight every second and never surrendered.. showed tremendous heart and patience, and learned to time his guy throughout the fight.. Khan is a difficult puzzle.. all beefed up by Roach and Ariza. Plus Khan is amazing with his speed.

Chino is excellant fighter but he'll never be accused of being a very skilled fighter. His thing is cut off the ring and break you down. He's very smart the way he applies pressure though.

The winner is always gonna get more coverage and one of the writers actually states Chino is better than he thought.
