ok.. i see a lot of haters on this board. Why did this guy deserve a shot against pacquiao..why did this blah blah blah blah.. Arum's goal is to make the most money. when was bob arum never been about the money? Mosely makes money with pac. Margarito made money for arum against pac. So did cotto.. Clottey ?...well arum owns both so that made money for arum and pac. Marquez? pac fought him twice did around 200k- 300k buys. Now marquez wants 5million dollars and part of the ppv. On top of that marquez is owned by GOLDEN BOY. Where is the inconsistency by b.arum?

But that doesnt mean that marquez vs pacquiao wouldnt be a great fight. As you know styles makes fights. Ive said this to my friends that marquez would give pacquiao a tougher fight than mayweather would. Ive always said that a counter puncher can beat pacquiao but thats not floyd. Floyd is the best counter puncher in the business but he doesnt risk. And the most effective counter punch against pacquiao is during exchanges. That why marquez gives him problems. Because he is a good counter puncher and has ballz. Floyd is like 10x faster than marquez and has way more skillz than marquez but that dont mean **** against pac. pac will be all over him cuz mayweather will be too defensive. And that point system will favor manny against mayweather cuz he will be too busy. And if you ever study pacquiao he can penetrate thos defensive guards his speed/velocity and pinpoint accuracy. Im telling you his punches will take its toll specially to the body.

Barrera,oscar dela hoya,cotto, clottey, morales.. looked like they just gave up in their fights against pacquiao.. is because of accumlative dmge that pacquiao inflicts .Most of them were future hall of famers..Did you ever saw barrera so helpless like that. Did you ever saw the golden boy oscar been like that€? Or even clottey was so helpless that he didnt throw any punches? its not a coincedence. And pretty boy floyd knows this. Bet your ass he is taking his time to calculate this. Floyd will have to fight pacquiao he wont be able to sit back and pot shot pacquiao. You are missing the point, son. The point is that we know they pick a useless fight; they have been doing it since Oscar, some may even argue and say it's since Diaz, but the problem is their effort to legitimize the fight, their justification and reasoning, which is an insult to people with intelligence.

Sounds like a great idea to me, if we gotta sit through pac mosley at least we'll have something to look forward to. I still think jmm would get slaughtered, but hey, **** it. If he can't get passed berto it would be clear as day he don't belong in the ring with pac anywhere above 135 so that will be that.
If he does beat berto that would seal the deal, he can hang with the big boys so let him take his shot. If he wants it let him get it.

Berto ought to be next in line regardless. Why would a WW titlist need to beat the LW champion to get a shot at Pac? If Pac's staying at 147 then there's no other serious opponent left other than Berto.

I don't think Pac would be competitive witg Mayweather. And about most fighters and trainers agree. Does that mean Money shouldn't fight Pac?

Even if your correct the mayweather pac fight would still need to go off if for no other reason the money alone. Not to mention these are the two biggest names in boxing and the only two men with a claim as the best fighter going and of our generation. Nobody has jmm and pac on the same level as far as I can tell. It's a totally different situation.

Don't get me wrong I would love to see them fight. I just think people are overestimating how jmm would do because he had a couple of close fights with pac around 3 years ago. A lot has changed since then.

I'm not one of the one4s calling for Pacquiao to fight Marquez. I don't think he should have to. I would rather see him fight Berto. If Berto fight Marquez I think Berto wins, and than we can get a Pacquiao vs. Berto fight next.

No I don't think Manny should fight marquez now, just like Floyd fighting Marquez an already smaller opponent and coming in overweight was bull****, but what option did marquez have. He was just trying to get paid, where else out side of Floyd and Pacquiao would he have made that kinda money. I like Marquez don't get me wrong but he priced himself out of a Pacquiao fight.

Pac vs JMM AT 140 is a great fight. I don't know WHY anyone is talking about WW. Pac demanded to fight Cotto AT a catchweight for the WW title. He won his JMW title AT 144. He can make the JWW limit but doesn't want to. That technically favors JMM because he fights at the smaller weight class. Yet they BOTH would make JWW comfortably and weigh what they want come fight night. It would be a great match up and the point behind it is that Pac would make it a great match up. NOT force the LW to fight at WW, a division Pac has yet to even win a title at unless it was AT a "catch". Either he's too small for WW and needs a "catchweight" to make it fair or is looking to drain fighters. You decide.

As for Berto fighting JMM, that is hypocritical for anyone to say. Its ridicules that ANYONE is saying the undefeated WBC WW CHAMPION should be fighting a LW Champion IN ORDER to deserve a shot at another WW Champion in Pac? WTF? No, this is Pac ducking BOTH Berto and JMM saying that they should fight each other. Yet Pac wont step in the ring with a CHAMPION AT JWW, WW or even JMW.... THINK ABOUT IT, say it out loud 2 times.

PAC WILL NOT GET IN THE RING WITH A CHAMPION AT JWW, WW, or JMW.... notice its been "former" champions. Anyone thinking Berto should fight JMM is a f**king tool.

Pac vs JMM AT 140 or no fight at all. If Pac wont fight JMM because JWW is too small then Pac SHOULD be fighting Berto AT WW to unify the titles. What is the problem? Pac's demanding that JMM and Berto who BOTH are CHAMPIONS at there respected weight classes, one being undefeated MUST Prove themselves YET Mosley is HANDED a fight with Pac? What has he done? Look not so "too good" lately? Contradicting hypocrites.
