Ivaylo Gotzev, manager of former heavyweight champion Samuel Peter (34-4, 27KOs), advised BoxingScene.com that negotiations for an IBF eliminator with Tomasz Adamek (43-1, 28KOs) are "going well." Adamek is scheduled to return on April 16 in Katowice, Poland. Peter has not fought since the ten round knockout loss to IBF/IBO/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko in September. Gotzev is negotiating with Main Events and has good feeling that a deal can be reached. [Click Here To Read More]

With his hard rabbit punches, Peter is a dangerous opponent for Adamek. But I think Adamek can win a decision.

The division would be a lot more in a HW golden age similar to the 60's and 70's now if we had more top contenders fighting top contends like this fight. Props to Peter and Adamek. It was intriguing to see Adamek vs Arreola or Peter vs Chambers because it boxer vs puncher and you didn't know if in both cases the boxer would win, as I remember both Arreola and Peter were favorites in those respective fights.
Now if the other top fighters (other than the Klitschkos, cause they face everyone that is not running from them) would face each other. How about Povetkin vs a live body? What about Diva Hayfaker actually stick to her promise and fight a top 10 guy? Hell, I would even take a match-up of Boytsov vs Dimtrenko (if he doesn't faint again).
Chambers is doing right though props to him: Povetkin, Peter, Dimitrenko, and Klitschko; two of those guys were/are world champs and two were/are undefeated, and three were Olympic gold medalists. I just hope Wlad didn't ruin him with that KO.

This is a good fight. Adamek's HW resume will look very impressive if he can have a win over Sam Peter to go along with the Arreola win.

Peter knocks out Adamek if this happens. Adamek wasn't taking non-training Chris Arreola's punches very well at all an in my opinion would have been stopped if Arreola hadn't hurt himself with three rounds to go. Adamek is all smoke and mirrors at heavyweight I think. If he beats Sam Peter and it's legit, though, I'll be proven wrong.
