Partially agree with this, but would be well hyped and should be a decent spectacle for a fair few rounds. A British and Commonwealth unification fight, could be the start of an epic saga if they meet again later down the line at a higher level.

I had them pretty evenly matched, with Groves maybe even being the better of the two around the time Groves beat Adamu. But that outclassing of Smith by DeGale has told a different story. It's a shame Froch is that bit older otherwise we could have potentially re visisted the days of a Brit packed top level super middle division (getting ahead of myself a little lol)

He should of at least unified the super middle and sorting out a fight with Manny at a 149.5 catchweight by now.

Groves schooled Degale in the am's and has fought better competition as a pro, not to mention Degale has already turned down a fight with him. Groves is trained by Adam Booth and spars world champions such as Carl Froch on a regular basis and holds his own.

Degale isn't ready Groves, get it right.

I can't understand your post when you have del boy in your avatar man, he's of similar nature to DeGale (although he has been more respectful recently Del Boy)

DeGale has grown on me (last couple of fights have been excellent progression, couldn't stand the ****ness though) and his foe has been less impressive. I'd have said Groves to win in the past seen as he is as open as anyone I've seen defensively and the fact that DeGale seems to be finding more zip in his punches as he grows into the pro game then I don't think it would even be that close tbh. Groves has potential but given his trainer and obviously Booths lack of defensive coaching I think he could soon become one of those boxers with the tag 'could have been great' A wise man would tell him to switch trainers.... (and this is not because I have any hatred of Haye/Booth)

good points. degale would beat groves judging by recent form but groves has shown he can dig deep which is something we have missed from chunky.maybe because he's a better fighter or maybe poor competion

i have del boy as my avatar because his hat just cracks me up
