Silakh is the Black Ukrainian, and not Russian. That label is misleading, he was born in Ukraine and got the nickname "Black Russian" because of ignorant mofos like James Toney, who can't tell the difference between Austria and Australia.

Im surprised they still call him that because I read a Ukrainian interview where he mentions the fact that American media calling him "The Black Russian" is basically showing its ignorance.

I'm really surprised this is being made...two undefeated prospects with very good amateur pedigrees. Sillakh is the sharper puncher of the two and Despaigne is more awkward but is a very strong skilled boxer, Despaigne beat Dirrell and Pascal in the amateurs and had close fights but lost against with Matvey Korobov and Gennady Golovkin. This is a hard fight to call so early in each fighters careers. Sillakh has to stay on that good jab of his and has to be weary of Despaigne's awkward offensive outbursts. If Despaigne gets ahold of Sillakh, Sillakh could be in major trouble. If Sillakh stays on his jab i feel he can win a close but clear decision, but if Despaigne imposes himself on Sillakh and establishes his rythm Sillakh will find it hard to win. Hard fight to make a definite call on. Either fighter has a chance to win via stoppage or decision. we'll see what happens.
