it was widely publicized that jmm's demand was $5 million guarantee. now i haven't seen any article that says mosley is getting $5 million guarantee.

I'm honestly confused on why fans keep bringing up JMM.

If JMM would have gotten the fight over Pac it would have been at a catch-weight of 142-144(for the WBO WW belt) or more likely at 147(for the WBO WW belt)

That would have been just as garbage as Mosley fight is right now.

Marquez wanted $5 mil guaranteed plus $5 for every PPV buy over 500K AND Golden Boy would either want a buy out or a share of the revenue. Juan Manuel would suddenly 'deserve' a retirement fund if he followed Shane's lead and dropped GBP, which he just might do (as well as other fighters like Berto) now that the blueprint has been laid out.

I read somewhere that he is getting 5mil guarantee but could end up getting 7mil.

Which you think about it he might not be getting a huge PPV upside. While JMM was asking for $5 for every PPV above 500k. So I don't know how that works.

However, it doesn't matter cuz either fight is a lose, lose situation since both would have been garbage fight.
