Arum wont allow this as its too much of a threat and could possibly alter his plans of Pac vs Cotto II AT 154 next year after Mosley....

Would be a good match up, but Arum will kill it. Just like he did with any threat that was presented to Pac. Weather that be Mosley when he WAS the #1 WW, Mayweather AT WW, Martinez AT JMW, Berto AT WW, or even JMM AT JWW

He will say Berto "priced himself out of the Cotto fight" or re-use the excuse that he's not a big enough name. Or that he's a WW and not a JMW.... Bob will make an excuse and like all the simpletons out there, they will believe him as he only lied yesterday but is telling the truth today!

But hey, since Pac ducked Berto for a 40 year old. Make it happen! Either that or wait for Floyd to get out of court and call him out!

Cotto-Mayorga is supposedly a done deal already.

Really good fight and personally i think Berto would be very effective at 154. Both men are about the same size too.

Won't happen though. Bob doesn't have ultimate control, so it's a no go fight.

          i'd watch Cotto vs Berto,

          also

Cotto vs Mayorga - WARRRR MAYORGA. Of course Mayorga would probably lose but he'd make a good entertaining fight out of it.

Mayorga has been quoted in Nicaragua that he has signed a contract already to fight Cotto on March 12 (not that I beleive him) and there is also another thread on Boxing scene quoting Dibella saying Martinez will fight on HBO on March 12 with an opponent that HBO will name.

Is Dibella just bluffing the Berto-Cotto issue just to change the public opinion of his fighter (Berto) or is he lying about the HBO Martinez issue???

I mean,, we all know that Berto and Martinez are Dibella best fighters, why put them to fight for ratings on the same night????

I beleive that Dibella is more intelligent than that and that he is lying about one of the fights!!!!!

Bob Arum will not allow this.

                      Mayorga is on tap.
