Yea I could go on say Sugar Ray Robinson is my favorite fighter of all time, because I've seen many fights of his on tape. It just doesn't work like that.

Bull****, to discriminate the list of my favorite fighters based on the fact of rather you've lived during the time periods when they reigned, or rather you've seen them live is unimportant. If you've seen a failry extensive amount of their carrers' is important. I can watch 100's and 100's of old fights and pick apart each fighers' gameplan, and overall style over a periods of fights and parts of his career. I can then take this info and pick my favorite fighters, and favorite styles.

Will maybe it works for you, but for me it don't work like that. I have the highest respect for some of the old great legends of boxing. Respect is one thing, but I can never call them my favorite boxers, if I haven't seen them in a fight that I didn't know the outcome, then I can't call them my favorites.

What makes little to no sense to me, is the fact that your profile says you were born in 1985 and yet claim to have seen "30+ LaMotta fights".

How is that possible when there's not even ten fights of LaMotta's available on film for ANYBODY's viewing nowadays (including the most hardcore fight collectors out there)? Time machine, perhaps?

I've seen Hagler & he was my idol when I was a kid. But guys like Robinson & Louis etc doesn't make any sense, unless you're really old & have seen them fight.

how can you say that? if you like a fighter you like him. my top 5 are all current guys but ali, leonard, and whitaker are in there and i didnt see any of them live. i saw some of whitakers fights live but not many. i like their way/wys of fighting in that order of my list. thats how someone is somebodys fav fighter in the order that they like the way that fighter fights.

I've had some really really amazing nights watching some of my favourite fighters in MEGA fights trying to secure a legacy for themselves.

These guys are my favourite fighters coz' I've felt like part of the moment when I've been there live and watched it live on the tv.

I really enjoy watching fighters of the past especially Muhammed Ali, but I don't see them in the same way that I seen Lennox Lewis for example... Because Lennox Lewis I was there from the beginning and watched all his fights. I felt like I was part of the ride and was an avid fan!

I don't think I would feel the same about a fighter that died 30yrs before I was born.
