Now it is funny to me watching the people that parroted that garbage get shit on because they have no come back because they don't even know enough about their man or who he has fought to truly make a logical argument.

I think if you got in that argument with cortdawg he could defend Floyd's career well as I am sure it would not be the first time he was challenged in such a way. A lot of people wanted a lot of those fights before they happened.

To me that is the difference people shit on Floyd but still most all of his fight's people thought were acceptable in the lead up it wasn't until after they became ****ty fights. The last person that Manny fought that people really wanted to see was Cotto, in boxing it is always what have you done for me lately.

This was always the logical outcome though, the best part was the people who didn't see it coming.
Exactly Gambler, what walt don't understand is that i'm pretty familiar with both of their careers. I have all of Floyd's career and some of manny's. i think very highly of Floyd and i think his career is stellar. But if 1's argument is that Floyd fights for money, then i'm not going to argue with them. But i will argue that he fought the best that was available at the time at any weight class.

Now pacquiao is just outrageous as of late. Walt wants to talk about holes in careers well pacquiao's is like Swiss cheese. say what u about Floyd, but atleast he made defenses and fought the man of the division in mostly all of the divisions that he has been in.

floyd ain't fighting punching bags in 4 or 5 straight fights or oscar's leftovers and fighitng everyone at a catchweight that is suitable to him or trying to stack every single advantage in his favor. floyd ain't always do what the people wanted, but he didn't pull this crap.

Not only that. They all thought that Floyd would loose against all these guys. And floyd knows what they'll say after so he has to really be careful when picking his opponents.

          at some of you..

Good post TS.. **** the bull**** by Manny and Floyd. **** Arum and Team Pacquiao.

But, at the end of the day..

He beats Mosley - he's shot.
He beats Marquez - he's over the hill.
He beats Berto - he's green/never beat a top contender.

Different people will come up with different ways to discredit him.

Hopefully, before his career is over, he fights all three (plus Floyd) so nothing else can be said.

          Catch 22 .. lose/lose

we've talked plenty of times before cort. i know you're aware of both, but c'mon, i could just as easily chop up of 4 fight runs of floyd.

            corley/bruseles/gatti/sharmba

            gatti/sharmba/judah/baldo

            those are some punching bags.

best that was available is a total joke.
how come he announced the jmm fight the day before manny fought? how come cotto and shane managed to fight everyone at ww and floyd didn't? you're an excuse maker, that's it.

no one needs to make excuses for jmm, for shane, for cotto, for vic d, for adamek, for cunningham, for froch, for malignaggi, for bradley, for pascal, for the klits. those are real fighters, just saying what you said about floyd fighting the best available is makes you questionable.

you're playing youself for your crush on him if you really believe that floyd fought the best available at every time.

i remember stevie johnson being available., i remember margs being available, i remember spaddy and casa being available. i remember cotto being available in 08,

the worst shi t ever is agreeing to a fight at one weight and not even making the weight. at least at catchweights all parties agreed and everyone made weight.

Floyd and Manny are so intertwined with how most people currently think that an opinion on one means they hold the exactly opposite position on the other guy.

It is a fairly good example of mob mentality.
