So wait. Shane Mosley, a fighter whos gave up and lost to Floyd Mayweather and then lost a boring fight to Sergio Mora, deserves $5 mil and Marquez doesn't?! That's BS! Yeah Marquez' fights may not have been great big events, but he's still been involved in better fights than Mosley and has performed way better than Mosley has. I don't understand how Mosley can be given a guarenteed $5 mil, while Marquez asks for the same amount but is rejected. Am I the only one that thinks this is complete BS?

Marquez is asking double of what he got against Floyd, that's 6M+ (which I think is a bit too much), but couldn't sell himself if his life depends on it, while Mosley is a proven commodity. Plus, him antagonizing Pacquiao didn't help his cause. I was really hoping for their 3rd fight, but Pacquiao probably thinks he can hurt Marquez where it hurts most, but not filling his pockets...

Bob's lying? That's a given Walt. It's 5mil guaranteed for Shane, although it could reach 7mil+ after the PPV upside. Let's just say for argument's sake that Marquez was asking for the same thing, GBP will step aside BUT, will get a share for this fight, not for this fight. But I think the real deal breaker was Marquez antagonizing/disrespecting Pacquiao. I think that weighed a lot for Bob Arum and Pacquiao to take on Mosley rather than Marquez. Team Marquez could've used a different approach, but no, they went the insulting route. I really wanted to see the trilogy materialize more than any other Pacquiao fight, aside for the Floyd fight anyways, but Marquez just screwed himself away from this fight...
