Mayorga vs. Cotto is better than Cotto fighting Wolak or Vanes. Ultimately I think Cotto wins but you can never count Mayorga out and he always makes the prefight hype interesting. I loved how he called ODLH gay and a f*ggot then two days before the fight, called ODLH and asked for more money! That was some funny **** and I am looking forward to being entertained, unlike I would be with those other two guys (Wolak is a nobody and Vanes is way overrated, IMHO)...

Exactly, and as far as tune-ups go, this isn't bad at all. It will be entertaining with the buildup and Don King and Arum squaring off from their promoter's chairs again.

Cotto takes on Margarito in the Summer and then possibly Martinez in the fall... all PPV fights most likely. Not a bad '11 for him

cotto is scared to fight and dig deep since losing to paq

the man that poses the most threat on his short list would be vanes. less risk is what he is taking. mayoraga is a good fighter but more of a sideshow these days. all of ricardo his losses has to been to fighters who can really punch and dish out punishment.

i think this fight with mayorga would be better then tito mayorga because cotto is smaller but doesnt have a shaky chin early and can box and brawl mayorga will get ko but i think it will be a war while it last and mayorga is a better option then wolak k9 and vanes hes proven himself is a former 3 division champ great resume and basically a legend and this is a a fight ppl been tlken about for a while

Peñagaricano(Cotto's adviser) is full of S H I T!!Now a days Mayorga ain't S H I T!!!Even thou Mayorga has always been a clown but 2 or 3 years ago a Mayorga vs Cotto would have been a somewhat interesting fight...In the last 4 years Mayorga has had 4 fights(loosing 2 by KO), 1 was 5 days ago(& barely no one noticed) & Mayorga looked like CRAP against a TOMATO CAN before the ref finally stopped the fight & the other before that was 2 years ago when Mayorga got KO'd by Mosley...So ¿How in the world does that earn him a TITLE SHOT!? Especially When RANKED prospects like Martirosyan & Wolak have paid their DUES & should be the NEXT IN LINE FOR A TITLE SHOT!!! They already turned down what would have been a great fight that would have sold itself against Martinez & if they turn down Martirosyan or Wolak to fight this BUM, then team Cotto is just as FULL OF S H I T as Arum is!!! NO MATTER how much of a clown Mayorga is or what type of tactics he tries to pull to hype the fight, this fight WILL NOT SELL!!!

I told u guys cotto is a joke. balked at the pbf fight, got dominated by a 5mph windmill and quit. got shrunken down by a ped pushing cheat then drowned in the late rds again. And clottey should get a good xmas present for easing off the breaks on his azz too.

Cotto is a clown and nothing more than a PR hypejob. The gatti of this era.
