I understand your point Larry. I think the problem with Floyd is that he says stuff like that and then contradicts himself in other interviews. He says "I fight for checks" in one interview and then whines about not winning fighter of the decade in another interview.

You floyd fans just want him to take the least $ fight

        Boxing>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Boxers

Typical fanboys. The fight itself is all that's important. screw the money... screw their life outside boxing.

I love seeing Mayweather fight, he's a very skillful, talented, and gifted fighter. Though I don't like his persona it does not bother me to watch him fight.

When Floyd Mayweather Jr loses... it will benefit the sport,
When Manny Pacquiao loses... it's also good for boxing.

Another champ's defeat is the dawning of another great champion, the cycle just goes on and on.

Of course his legacy is tons better than Floyd's, and no real boxing fans are not pleased with fighting Margarito and Mosley now... when he could of fought other opponents.

I don't like the Mosley fight Larry but in 50+ years...this fight is actually for Pac's legacy.

Dude, are you f**kin' serious ? I'm a staunch supporter of PAC but this matchup stinks !!

PAC proved a point by beating the living **** out of 2 common opponents he has with Coward Jr. but, this matchup with Shane doesn't make sense anymore(well, financially, yes) but, I don't think this will elevate his legacy, if anything it's kind of a step back.

De La Hoya fought them on the early part of his career for the fame

It's not like he's fighting guys like that to cash in just before he retired like Pac's doing. Pac's may not be in the peek of his prime, but he's far from being out of his prime.
