Why do all the Brits hate James DeGale?

Brits hate on real talent ala Khan and DeGale but root for talentless ugly-lookers like Calzaghe and Hatton.

Not sure why you are hating on calzaghe and hatton,if khan achieves as much as either of them you will be sucking his dick for doing so

Like i said,if khan achieves what calzaghe did you will be giving him big props for it,you cant deny that

I certainly don't hate him. Sure, there were a couple of question marks about his power and punching style when he moved up from the amateurs. But all these were erased when he matured physically and started beating up people with decent records.

I always thought he'd come good, but the speed at which he's got to where he is now has surprised me completely.

The kid's talents are off the charts. He can box. He can punch. His combinations and hand-speed are explosive and, best of all, he seems to have taken a leaf of the Floyd Mayweather book of defence (which is as good as any).

The big question now is - does he want it? It's no good having all the talent in the world if you're planning to do a Naz and piss it away before you've reached your prime. So far he seems fairly level-headed. But success might change all that

Fortunately we also have another outstanding talent in George Groves fighting at the same weight. Which means we could soon be back to the heady days of the Benn/Eubank/Watson superfights.

I like Degale.

He clearly has talent and could make some noise at 168 once he gains more experience.

I'm not British...but I'm DEFINITELY a DeGale fan...I sound like a broken record when it comes to the kid....but for the 100th time...he's gonna be special....don't know when I've seen so much potential in a young fighter before
