      Rafael Marquez (ask Heriberto Ruiz)
Diego Corrales (hasn't shown 1 punch KO power in awhile)
      Manny Pacquiao
      Samuel Peter
Jeff Lacy (although he hasn't shown 1 punch power...he hits hard overall)

I left off guys like Trinidad and Tszyu because who knows what they are doing.

        Chico Corrales
        Manny Pacquiao
        Jeff Lacey
        Zab Judah
        Jean-Marc Mormeck

All have that one punch power that change a fight with a single blow.

No question he's today's best puncher....& he's also one of the hardest hitters I've ever seen down below 147.

Corrales hasn't been KOing guys with one shot because he continues to face the toughest, smartest, & best fighters in his weight class(es).

Let's see if Marquez drills the elite guys he faces, down the road.

Corrales buckled & bashed Castillo, hurt him worse & more frequently than anyone else ever has. Castillo is as tough an S.O.B. as you'll see in the sport.

You're very correct about him facing the top guys all of the time, and he has managed to crack 2 of those guys. He has beautiful two fisted power, but Marquez has done the same and is blasting out legit top contenders like Ruiz with 1 punch (most amazing uppercut I've seen in awhile). He hasn't been fighting the cream of the crop lately or anything, but knocking out a bunch of top contenders and tough guys like Pastrana is pretty impressive. When you think about it, both Corrales and Marquez have KO'd two pretty elite guys and have finished off a bunch of other top contenders with their devastating power.

I personally think that Marquez right hand in general is just better than Corrales, even though Corrales has a better left.

Are you counting "Too Sharp" as one of Marquez's elite victims ?
Don't get me wrong, I loved Johnson....but, when Marquez faced him, Johnson was past it. Past his best time, & definitely his weight.

I think Marquez is an awesome puncher, & agree the uppercut he hit Ruiz with was a beautiful bomb.
I just don't KNOW if he will bring his power up in weight, & in class, the way Chico has.

Johnson was past his best yes, but there is NO denying that he was still a very game, very tough opponent. I mean right after that he rebounded and showed that he was still a force to be reckoned with by dropping and defeating Fernando Montiel.

Who's not to say that JLC is/was past his best too. He's been through so many wars now...that's kind of the link that I'm making between these guys. I know Castillo was just getting done with Diaz and Lazcano, but Johnson was beating up on Sor Vorapin not too long before that.

Chico was also ALWAYS a huge 130 lber. I don't think it's a mystery that he was going to carry his power up to lightweight. I believe Marquez would carry his power to 122, but for some reason he doesn't want to move up so I guess only time will tell.
