No it wouldn't, because Floyd would be fighting a dead Martinez.

A poster on a forum came up with a ridiculous idea... and somehow you relate that to Floyd Mayweather actually signing the deal to do it?

Why y'all bashing me? Y'all are the ones embracing catchweight fights! Y'all praised Pac for winning a 147 belt in a catchweight fight, then he wins a 154 belt while coming in at 144...why praise certain fighters for catchweights and then bash another fighter for the same bull****?? Pac is my favorite fighter, but if he does it I don't see why someone else can't.

          Who?

          Be specific?

          Who praised him for it?

Don't just say "ya'll" without being specific.

Floyd doesn't make his own weight classes, if it were to happen, it will be at 154lbs. Just as it was for the De La Hoya fight.

but you seem to be fantasizing about the middle weight crown. Not gonna happen.

                  That's exactly what I thought.

I can see Floyd asking for 150 to fight Martinez. He made Hatton go up to 147 from 140, and Marquez from 135 to 144 while he come in at 146.

Maynever NEEDS advantages for him to make his fight less challenging.
Pacquiao gives advantages to his opponent to make it more challenging.

You ever wonder why Manny has many endorsement deals while Floyd cries that he don't? Corporations want to associate themselves with heroic figures, not cowardice figures.
