I dont get why everyone is upset. First of all the fight doesn't mean **** anyway, it's just to make money in the first place.

Second of all, it's not like Mosley will be drained or whatever since he fights the best at 147 anyway.

Third....if that belt didn't mean **** in the first place, why are we even concerned about its defense at all.

Think of it like this, the catchweight doesn't mean **** cos both fighters are best at 147 anyway, but as most boxing experts know THAT does not mean u can't fight for a belt at 154. That's just the maximum limit. But I feel you guys though, in principal the actual limit should be at 154 and not at a catchweigh.

The actual catch weight thing doesn't bother me much in itself - it's not like Mosley is a huge guy killing himself to make welterweight, 2/3 of his last 3 have been at 47 lbs, however it should NOT under any circumstances be for the super-welterweight championship - super-welterweight is 154lbs for Christ's sakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's making an utter mockery of the sport. Manny needs to ditch that WBC title because it might as well be a tin cup he's holding, seeing as how he won't fight in the super-welterweight division

148 to defend his title DOES NOT BENEFIT PACQUIAO!! This must be the doing of the WBC, so they receive their championship level sanctioning fee!! Plain and simple. Pacquiao's team would never make such an offer. Everyone knows that the best deal is 147 and NO title, just like Mayweather-Mosley was not for Shane's WBA title!
