So what Floyd thinks about himself is what the rest of us should feel about him?

Floyd has put a lot of time and effort into the sport and has been wildly successful, why should he view himself any differently. Any fighter in history in Floyd position would feel the same way. It is a matter of confidence and in boxing that is much more important than any physical trait.

He doesn't think anyone in history could beat him, what is wrong with that?

That is how he views himself, he has proven it to himself. I don't see how you can say he is wrong as it is an opinion based question. How do you judge the greatest by what criteria. then how do you compare across time.

Doesn't mean you have to agree with his assessment on himself.
