What should Hopkins do next? Wait? Fight Cloud? Tune up? Retire?

What do you think Bhop should do next?

There is word that Tavoris Cloud is willing to fight Hopkins, which could set up a nice little four man tournament in theory, although not sure Hopkins would be willing to fight an unknown guy.

I almost feel like Hopkins should just retire if he cant get the rematch w/Pascal. What else is there to prove?

If he can't get an immediate rematch with Pascal, he should retire.

Who else is there for him to fight? We all know what motivates him - legacy. That's why he got so "up" for the Pascal fight.

Nobody else out there offers him anything in way of legacy or financial compensation.

We all know he won that fight anyway. He's got nothing left to prove.

Whatever makes him the most money. Waiting for the winner of Dawson-Pascal is probably the best route.

As long as that fight takes place in short order I see no reason to mess around with anyone else (unless the offer is better), if the bull**** with the timing of Pascal-Dawson then probably a tune up.


Hopkins would rough up Cloud I reckon and I don't see the mass appeal for the fight, but maybe if they did the fight in Philly it could be worth enough.

After he gets his shot at the top dog at 175 (winner of Pascal-Dawson) I see no reason to stick around and should be able to retire satisfied.

He needs to not overvalue himself.

He won't fight Pascal in Canada, but that's the only place that fight is marketable.

So if he gets the rematch just fight him in Canada. If Dawson gets the Pascal fight, fight Cloud and then fight the winner and still get your glory. But he can't go diva because the only one of those 3 that bring any money is the guy with the unfair advantage.

He can beat any of them, but I think Dawson gives him the most trouble.

Yeah I think he's a little better in Pascal in that department though, and its because of the same reason basically lack of a jab and all power shots being thrown.
