After Corrales? He finished cleaning out the 130 division then moved up to 135lb to fight Castillo. You can argue that the consistent quality of his opposition dropped when he moved to 140/147lbs.
That being said, people need to recognise that fighters will generally do their best to please the fans when they're trying to please themselves. Once that done it is about the pay checks as they can consistently get away with robbing people blind.
Can't say I blame them, its good business sense to invest your time in easy money. If fans don't want that to happen their option is to stop making the easy path lucrative. Which will never happen because people pay to see a fighter, not a fight.Comment

I would say what Floyd did after Castillo, when he realised he could have lost the decision he realised he shouldn't just fight anyone, he felt he could fight anyone after the high he was on after the Corrales fight,Comment

The only difference is that Manny plays the "good/nice guy" role and thus people are not all over him. HBO is never critical of him since he is their cash cow.
Floyd is at times brash and a douche but at least he's not acting and playing a role for the media, you have to respect that.Comment

Isn't the difference that PBF took some fights that paid less than what he could have made fighting a more challenging opponent? (I think Diaz is the only recent example for Pac) I think it's hard to say a guy is ducking someone if he is taking the fights that pay the most money.
I know that we serious boxing fans want to see the best matchups, but it's hard to fault guys for trying to make the most money possible. Of course, it's also ridiculous for any fan to think they're fighting for some more noble reason.Comment
