Please explain to me this logic....

Every now and then I see people wonder about how someone can come up in weight and bring their power along with them.

Isn't that how it's suppose to be? You grow bigger so you grow muscles, so obviously you get stronger. Isn't this how it's SUPPOSE to work? I mean, I work out, I'm gaining weight, and I'm pretty sure I'm getting stronger, lol.

So WTF do I keep seeing these types of comments? Please explain to me, coz I really don't get it.

You can't see what you don't wanna see, you can't understand what you don't wanna understand...
You being smaller for years, then moving up rapidly to fight guys who have been bigger and stonger for years, and being stronger than them is not how it works.

Speed..... As you grow you do not get faster (At 30 you stop growing and gaining speed)
Example... If you put 15 to 20 pounds on Usain Bolt, what happens? Will he become faster?

That's not always the case though. Going up in weight also generally means the opponents can take a bigger punch.

The way I see it is some guys have just enough power at a weight, and when they move up their punch doesn't have the same affect against bigger opponents. That's usually when you hear "oh, he didn't carry his power up with him"

Then you have guys with freak excess power at a weight, and when they move up they still have enough punch to affect bigger opponents. That's usually when you hear "glad to see his power came up with him."

It's more about the durability of the bigger opponents than a decrease in power. At least that's my take.

That is exactly what it means when you carry your power up... your fighting bigger fighters who take a bigger punch.

You are seeking to defend Pac but your logic is ******ed.

OBVIOUS OBSERVATION 1: Pac had huge KO power at the lower weights.

OBVIOUS OBSERVATION 2: Manny has not KO'd anyone at welterweight or higher, ex: Clottey and Margarito (Cotto was at 145 and that was a TKO at the Ref's discretion).

Therefore, Manny has in fact lost power as he moved up in weight so what are you even talking about???

              DUHHHHH.

You obviously lack reading comprehension and obviously has no clue what I'm trying to say, so you're obviously the ******ed one. So you're telling me you've NEVER seen anyone here on the boards wonder why Pac still carried his power with him? If not, then there's really no point for your response right? Idiot.
