Comments Thread For: Acosta-Rios, DeMarco-Sanchez Doubleheader in The Works

BoxingScene.com was advised that Showtime televised doubleheader is being worked on for February 26. The main event would unbeaten lightweight contender Brandon Rios (26-0, 19KOs) take on WBA "regular" champion Miguel Acosta (28-3-2, 22KOs) of Venezuela. In the co-feature, Antonio DeMarco (24-2-1, 18KOs) would go against WBC silver lightweight champion Reyes Sanchez of Mexico City. Both fights are taking place in the United States, but it hasn't been finalized if both bouts are happening on the same card.

Such a load of **** Soto ducked Rios.

Also, if Hasegawa-Gonzalez is going to be in Mexico, showtime should pick it up.

Unless Rios is that good, he might be walking in to a loss. Acosta's style is almost perfect to diffuse pressure fighters. Solid footwork, speed, counter punching, strength, and power, he couldn't have fought Antillon any better then he did. Rios is the real deal if he can get past this test.

Soto has some great management because he would've gotten stopped by Rios. Arum is doing Soto a favor with this.

This will be a hard fight for Brandon Rios.

Humberto Soto would never fight someone like Miguel Acosta.

The article says that a fight between Rios and Acosta is being worked on. However, another article from another website confirms that a deal has already been reached and the fight will take place.
