that says it all if you ask me.
if pascal thought he won the fight, he would've been just as mad as hopkins after the call.
he made no case for himself other than talking in really small circles and tried calling hopkins dirty, when in fact he was the dirty fight of the night, and hopkins didn't even attempt to maul him in any dirty fashion.
pascal then goes on to say that he was content with the draw. which means to me, 1) he felt he didn't win, 2) the judges didn't feel he won ( 2 scored a draw 1 for hopkins)...3) he had complacency beaten into him to even feel that a draw is ok for him, because in fact a draw is a win for a guy who lost the fight.
mosley said a draw was ok for him because he knew his fight with mora was a crap fight and was terrible to watch and nothing was really clean to score in that fight.
hopkins vs pascal was clean and clear on the scoring, there was really no inside fighting, and no muddled punches and trades, they were all there for everyone to see.
i argue punch stats all the time, because most of the time they're inaccurate in regards to as scoring areas and most times the fights are close and the action is hard to see to really be accurate enough to back up the decision, in close fights...............
not this fight though, it was clear as day, through and through, you could see everything hopkins was doing, outlanding, cleanly scoring, and out hustling pascal the whole fight........ these numbers add up, unlike the calzaghe fight numbers........
pascal had contentment beaten into him, he was good with the draw...... hopkins beat that respect into him, HOPKINS beat that complacency into pascal that made him cool with a draw..............
