for a guy like him, jim grey to tell hopkins he won the fight and then to go on to go up against showtimes fighter pascal, says volumes as to how this fight was perceived........... grey actually got this one right.
it's unprofessional to stroke the companies fighter and ignore the facts, its a reporters job to exploit injustices and grey was doing such..... for this i applaud him for once..............
what was unprofessional was the scoring of this fight, which was a clean cut victory for bernard hopkins.........
i mean seriously, he took pascal to school. was the french canadians afraid of roiting if their guy lost?????Comment

Q
I admit I'm biased, but I think Gray did a excellent job last night.
He put the fire under the Canadian's ass, had he kept it neutral, the Low IQ'd party boy persona of Pascal wouldn't have gotten the hint that there was controversy around the decision. He probably would've kept it moving and explored other opponents. Now he is mentally stuck....HE IS PROBABLY GONNA WANT TO DO A REMATCH. He clearly got the hint, thanks to Jim Gray.Comment

I'm not a big fan of Jim Gray and his antics sometimes but I didn't think he was out of line with his questioning last night. Pascal said he thought he won and Gray asked him to explain why he thought he won because everyone else that seen the fight knows he lost and he himself knows he lost.Comment

You're all ****ing ******s if you think Jim Gray was out of line in his post fight interview. I'll repost what I posted about it last night.
What the hell did you want him to ask after watching a 27 yr old champ just flat out RUN from a 45 year old for most of the fight besides 'how do you think you won the fight?' His job is not to play up to fighters but to seek out honest responses from how he sees it. He executed that perfectly.
Did you want him to say something like...oh what a great fight Jean! You really took it to him didn't you?!
Of course Gray asked Pascal how and why he thought he won the fight. Because anyone with half a god damn brain and with a set of eyes could see from Pascal's body language that he did not really think he won that fight.Comment

that guy is a complete ****
the way he spoke to Pascal was **** out of order just because him and his yank network thought Bernard won the fight doesn't make it fact or give him the right to basically say to Pascal's face that he didn't deserve the win and that if it wasn't in Canada things would have been different
first off bhop was knocked down twice if he wins every other round which he didn't then we end up with 114-112 which is what one of the judges scored it anyway
it was in Pascal's hometown and he is the champ it's common knowledge as a challenger you to do more to win bhop needed at least a knockdown to make a case for a victory if you ask me
Marquez was knocked down three times against Pacquiao but earned a draw outboxing him for the rest of the fight pretty much the same thing happened here only difference is it's the American on the short end of the stick and being that Showtime are an American network they made a big thing out of it when it really wasn't
i have watched alot of boxing and that certainly wasn't the worst decision i have seen in fact i think they got it about right. there was no way that can be classed as a robbery imo
anybody else think he was out of line the way he spoke to Pascal?Comment
