This reminds me of that "pure boxers have always ruled the sports" thread in which a poster starts a topic and has no idea what's the definition of pure boxer (in this case technical skill).

If they had no skills, you wouldn't even know about them because they'd be journeymen with sub 500 records. Fighters do not get to that level without skill.

I was about to post the same exact thing. I can tell most of these guys have never boxed before. If they did then they would understand that it takes a lot of skill to make it to the championship level.

Most of those fighters on that list have been at the championship level for years and held multiple titles only for some dumb@ss poster like the TS to post some bull**** like that.

Also just because someone isn't textbook doesn't mean they aren't skilled. Roy, Ali and others weren't text book as well as countless others but were still skilled as hell. Being skilled means more than being technical and I wish more fans would realize this.

But even if you are referring to more crude brawlers.....that has still got to be the most pathetic list I've ever seen. Boxingscene would be a better place if they screened their members. This guy probably wouldn't have passed to become a member, but at least make it an option to ban him for being so ******.

I wish people would realize cutting of the ring is just as much of an art/skill as putting together the perfect combination

Or breaking a fighter down with effect pressure takes as much talent as using a jab to set your offense and control distance.

Being skilled means being great at what you do and forcing your opponent to fight your style of fight....atleast that's how I see it.
