Anyone else think the draw was a fair result?

The two knockdowns made the fight alot closer but I still think B-hop should have got the nod, as he just dominated cleaarly to me. When I score these fights, I'm looking at ring leadership, clean punches landed, the agressor, and the one pressing for the action which was B-hop. I just cannot see the logic in a draw, as Pascal didn't do anything apart from the first 3 rounds, the fight was a clear shut-out from then on.
For me, it was a clear win for B-hop, that's coming from a guy that cant stand the mans style of fighting. I felt really bad for him for last night, I was actually mad at his expense... I know Pascal was fighting on home turf, this always favours the home-town fighter of course, but you cant take a legit win from a fighter.
If this fight was in the MGM, you'd have a good idea how this fight would have been scored - A Win for B-hop.Comment

so 4, 5, 8 or 9 couldnt have gone either way? none of them?
you think they were all CLEARLY and OBVIOUSLY won by hopkins, with no chance that pascal won any of them?Comment

It was a pretty clear win for Hopkins, even being generous in some swing rounds should have had Hopkins ahead.Comment

There were four close rounds in that fight. One could argue that Pascal won rounds 12 and round 5. I watched the fight looking to see if there was a robbery. But I think it is kind of ridiculous for anyone to think such a close fight could have been "robbery." Some people are denying the kds. I think that could be borderline bias. But in reality Hopkins came out as the psychological winner because he won most rounds and he put it on a young champion.Comment

I thought there were a few close rounds but as i say i did have Hopkins clearly winning more rounds and the rounds Bhop won he dominated in. I tend to score close rounds even if there is not much going on, i could double back and then watch each round several times to double make sure i have picked up each landed punch but judges cant do that. The two knockdowns made the fight alot closer but I still think B-hop should have got the nod, as he just dominated cleaarly to me. Hard to look optimistic, when you've clearly lost or been close to losing 10 rounds (why did people automatically give Pascal the 2nd?), 9 of the 10 in a row.
I thought the draw was somewhat of a fair result, but after thinking about it, it's pretty hard to find 3 rounds in addition to the knockdown rounds to give it to Pascal. He was landing the harder shots, but they were few and Hopkins was always controlling the action.Comment

The only way I can see how the judges scored the fight is awarding Pascal with the close rounds even though B-hop just edged them, it's the only way to cover their azz I guess. I've watched hundreds of fights, and I know when a fighter has rightfully won the fight or not. Infact sometimes you don't even need to score a fight, you know who won it, and last night I didn't feel the need to score the fight, as I had no reason to think B-hop didn't win.I thought there were a few close rounds but as i say i did have Hopkins clearly winning more rounds and the rounds Bhop won he dominated in. Pascal almost had non-existent workrate after the 6'th round, the sheer will of B-hop overwhelmed him for the rest of fight.
Also, I can tell from Pascal's body language how he felt after the decision, he stuttered in the interview when he was first approached.
Clear win for B-hop in my opinion, no doubt in my mind. And like I said before, I can't stand B-hop.Comment

Well I have watched i dont know how many fights over the years but people always have different views on who won, now i think Bhop won most of the rounds but i felt that the 2 kd's made the fight really close. The only way I can see how the judges scored the fight is awarding Pascal with the close rounds even though B-hop just edged them, it's the only way to cover their azz I guess. If it wasnt for that Hopkins would have easily won but i just felt that with those two 10-8 rounds made the fight very close. I dont care to much we wont be able to change each others minds on it and if Bhop had won i wouldnt have said it was unfair but if Pascal won i would have felt a bit for bhop.
Anyways it was a fairly decent fight better than i thought it would be and i doubt Pascal will want a rematch he was dam luck he got those 10-8 rounds.Comment
