Mayweather last fought in May, Hopkins and Winky both retained high positions without fighting for over a year that is how the rankings work moving up is hard but getting moved down without losing is very hard.


If people thought Floyd was gone they would remove him, but pretty much everyone expects him to fight again.

That said there is no way Manny gets moved down unless Floyd does something that obviously trumps Manny, aside from Floyd everyone else is several impressive fights behind Manny thus can not hope of catching him in such a fashion at this point.

The only way Manny gets moved down is if he loses to Mosley, possibly if he looks bad but even then I still doubt he gets moved down especially if Floyd does nothing.

How so? Nobody is really that close to him except for Manny and all Mayweather has to do to be ahead of Manny again is fight someone that is viewed as better than Mosley (not really that hard) and win impressively which is what he usually does.

Just clean out the welterweight division, first Mosley then Berto. PBF come in anytime. JMM out priced himself, did it in 2004 when HBO offered a rematch with the 2 for part 3 for 1.5m. MP agreed to 750k but JMM wanted 1.5m for himself. Took less money and fought Chris John and lost, what a freaking bad plan by JMM and his manager Nacho B. Zoom into 2010, JMM camp and GB want 6m or so for the fight and they only got 3m to fight PBF. I wouldnt pay a mule to race in the Kentucky Derby if its worth a million dollars.
