just watched the hopkins-pascal fight

I did not know the outcome, just downloaded at watched it

R1 10-8 pascal (50-50 on the knockdown, not sure if it was legit or not, good cases for both sides)
R2 10-9 hopkins, really tight round, could go either way
R3 10-8 pascal, Hopkins should have been deducted a point at the end for hitting after the bell
R4 10-9 hopkins
R5 10-9 pascal, like the 2nd round really tight, could go either way
R6 10-9 hopkins, pathetic round by pascal, poor work rate, its like he is the 45 year old
R7 10-9 hopkins, total domination
R8 10-9 hopkins, tight round, could have gone either way
R9 10-9 hopkins, pascal may have won the last 30 seconds but Hopkins won it for me in the first minute
R10 10-9 pascal, again like 3 of the earlier rounds, tight but I think pascal did enough to win this
R11 10-9 hopkins, both landed good hits but Hopkins activity won this round for me
R12 10-9 pascal, landed the cleaner shots for me took this round imo
113 pascal

Honest to god, I did not know the score before hand and just watched the fight, I had it a 113-113 draw but either guy could have won it by a point in this one

I also felt Hopkins won after the fight, but when you take into account th KD's, and maybe the clsoe rounds could have been given to Pascal, the draw adds up.

Still felt Hopkins won though.

agreed. Draw, or a win for Hopkins to me. Pascal didnt do enough effectively for me. But, cpmg**** to BHOP anyway. If there is a rematch.........Pascal in trouble.

panda had it a draw as well but we scored the rounds very differently

some people on this board feel bhop deserved the win just because he was about to become the oldest world champion ever...thats not a valid reason at all

Yeah it felt like Hopkins won, but my scorecard was also 113-113. Maybe it was because of all the round Pascal did nothing, but it felt Like Hopkins did so much more. He did win more rounds, but I scored it 113-113 due to Pascal having two 10-8 rounds.

Notice how every Pascal round after round 3 you wrote was close and could go either way. Well, they weren't that close to begin with, and you basically have to give Pascal every round in which he landed more than 5 punches to give him just a draw. That, my friend, is what you call robbery.

dunno, round 10 was tough to score, i thought pascal landed the cleaner shots which i gave it to him for, i suppose how scoring is done in terms of a guy having a good round after 3 poor rounds gets him the nod like in round 10

the difference was the poor knockdowns, no doubt in my mind hopkins would win the rematch, what saved pascal were the kd, he was losing both rounds until he dropped hopkins
