The reason why 35 + year old boxers are still finding success in boxing is...

because the talent level in boxing today ain't what it used to be. I can't think of any other generation in boxing compared to today's where advanced age boxers are still finding success at the top level.

Don't get me wrong, there are those who are just sic, like B-Hop and Glen Johnson for example, eventhough it's clear their best days are behind them, they can still dish out an ass whuppin' here and there. It just seems there's more of 'em in this generation than others.

To their credit, part of that success is because Hopkin's and Johnson stay in great shape, but, the current level of boxing ability amongst the younger fighters simply isn't as plentiful as it used to be.

        TOTALLY AGREE!!!

Brawlers and guys with power are being promoted by Top Promoters and HBO because it gets the attention of Casual Boxing Fans but those fighters get exposed EVENTUALLY!

This is complete garbage... Ftiness is a lot better and so is rehab techniques.

Boxers run further and further and faster these days....to say elite boxers these days aren't as good is not true.

I don't agree with this completely, younger fighters look to train to be faster and stronger; increasing the chance of an impressive win in return for more marketability.

Old fighters go back to ABC basics and the skills of the younger fighters decay gradually.

Take for instance Hopkins and Marquez with all their experience and technique, they know what they're doing and when you seen them train they are practising routine stuff again and again. Hopkins does so much shadowboxing it's crazy. Whereas you have Pascal spinning himself round in circles on a running track...

Also, as Marquez will tell you; a bit of your own pis s helps.

Bhop's main thing is his diet and clean lifestyle, and how he's so conservedand relaxed. A lot of fighters waste a lot of movement and energy, but at the same time a lot of fighters who try to be relaxed get knocked off because of it.
