oh for the record I'm not saying it IS w/o a doubt corrupt, just bad judging. But this is nothing new. Even in fights where there is a clear winner the scores are usually terribly off.

Mad respect for the old man Hopkins, it was almost imposible to get a decision......even harder with two knock downs. If it was a 15 round fight he would of taken this by TKO.

          American judge - Hopkins
          Canadian judge - Draw
          Belgian judge - Draw
Chris Mannix (Sports Illustrated) - Draw
          Tim Smith (NYDN) - Hopkins
          Don Steinberg (Inquirer) - Pascal
          Tarver - Pascal

Looks like most people at ringside saw a very close fight.

Tarver doesn't count, guy always scores hopkins fights badly because he holds a grudge on hopkins whooping him.

              The scoring doesn't make sense.

Did pascal get points for getting hit in the body?
took the words out of my mouth...........

i actually scored the 9th for pascal, just because i thought he was making a comeback, or starting to. i felt he might have got a second wind but he didn't take it to the next round though.

no, hopkins was winning the round until that point and it wasn't a knockdown of any clean proportions............ it's not a must to score a knockdown as a 10-8, the judge has that choice in the matter, usually based off of damage...... and control of the opponent.

Same judge who scored the 1st round 10-9 to Pascal despite the knockdown also scored the 10th a 10-10 round. Was this guy really Teddy Atlas in disguise?
