Prof Hopkins absolutely schooled Pascal but once agan he gets JOBBED!!!!!!
Neither Calzaghe nor Taylor 1 & 2 can honestly say they BEAT Bernard, Once more they robbed a true ATG of a title, but it really doesnt matter WE know who won.
How Calzaghe, Taylor & even Holyfield, after that ludicrous "DRAW" debacle against Lennox Lewis can hold their heads up after receiving such gift decisions amazes me

Let me start by saying I witnessed Pascal's dominant performance over Dawson earlier this year and I am just shocked at how lethargic he looked tonight against B-Hop. I expected Pascal to be dancing around B-Hop landing shots at will using his speed and yet expected B-Hop to put forth a valiant effort looking respectable but past his prime in the end.

Fact: Pascal did not look like a champion. His two early knockdowns we're legit although flash knockdowns. The back of the head claim is not legit when you lean your head downward as a method of defense as Bernard did.

Verdict: Really took my opinion of Pascal from a 9 in his division to about a 6, and only because my memories of the Dawson fight are still fresh. From memory, Pascal obviously won the 1st and 3rd rounds, and may have won 2 more. I think B-Hop looked superior but never really hurt Pascal seriously. I would have been OK with a B-Hop win, not happy with the draw, and definitely didn't think Pascal did enough to win. I believe a rematch is in order if it can be made in the next 4 months or less. I think this needs to be settled. Pascal needs to get his head in order and come up with a gameplan, and give B-Hop another opportunity. Bernard deserves to go out better than this.

This reminds me of a Tommy Hearns fight 10 years back where it was highly touted as being his farewell fight at home in Detroit. After suffering a 2nd round stoppage, he vowed to come back again and fight one more time, not wishing to go out in such a shameful manner. For a fighter of Bernard's pedigree, he deserves to go out with a win. Whether or not that can happen in a future speedy rematch remains to be seen.

Sorry gotta disagree with ya Pascal was rabbit punching the whole fight. The referee had his blinkers on and conveniently missed them . Another disgusting Canadian injustice

Except, while rooting for Hopkins, I scored the Calzaghe/Hopkins fight for Calzaghe by three points. At best it was a draw.

Ok Hop got screwed in was in Canada and Hop got robbed. When you are 45 years old and travelingto fight a champion in his country and you do not Knock him down or wobble him what do you expect? Hopkins won but lost by the hometown decision that is boxings fault for letting it happen that way and it is sad. Judges were crooked period.

the shot was illegal, it was not on a scoring area, and if you watch, hopkins isnt leaning or bending downward, he's off to the side. if i'm not mistaken, not sure how it is outside the USA but, behind the ear is not a scoring area.

i don't see how it is considered legit, because the punch in the 4th round that wasn't called as a KD was basically the same, just not against the ropes, it was in the center of the ring. that was clearly behind the head and it was called right.

the bias was in effect......... hopkins keeps his chin tucked, he doesn't take the target away by bending down and out of the way taking away the target area......

the only thing is, not one judge had the fight for pascal.................. pascal has said more than once that he was happy with a draw, because a draw in this case is a win, because he really felt he lost and will take the gift.

bottom line, pascal knows he lost, the judges and the people know he lost, but they're cool with a draw, mediocrity reigns supreme up there in quebec i guess.
