Soto dominated Guzman for most of the fight, by doing to Guzman what no other fighter has ever done to Guzman, and that is, Soto made Guzman run like a scared chicken.


As far as Rios, he needs to earn his shot at Soto, by becoming the WBC#1 contender.
Rios has done little to have the privilege of figting 3-Time World Champion Humberto Soto.

Actually Morales said he will fight Marquez or Soto. So he isnt avoiding anyone.

earlier this year, Morales was given a shot at Soto's WBC Lighweight belt, and Morales turned it down.

funny thing is, Barrera did the same thing.
MAB was give a shot at Soto's title, and MAB turned it down too.

Right now, Marquez avoids any discussions about him unifying belts with Soto, cause he, like Pac, EM, MAB, and so many others FEAR Soto.

Just FYI .... it's happening. Spring next year. If Erik hadn't turned down a fight with JMM back in 03-04, it would've been a great match. It's all NOT good though, I always hated the idea of this (both avoiding Soto).
