Once the actual contract is signed (assuming Miguel gets through 2 tough challenges) then they could always push the date to October or later.

But this is the perfect opportunity for DiBella to prove he's actually a promoter and not just a booking agent for HBO like he claims. He has until next fall to prove he can be on Arum's level and push Martinez onto the masses and turn him into a draw, a viable B side to Cotto. That way, we they can have a viable and lucrative PPV event.

No but Cotto getting a couple of wins under his belt will help to make this fight more legit. If Martinez goes out and gets 2 more highlight reel kos or dominating wins how could that hurt?

TBH Cotto's late 3 fights were nothing to write home about: Clottey, a close fight I thought he lost last June, Pac Man last fall where he was beat down and Foreman in June where I'd live him like a B- in winning... He NEEDS a tune-up badly just from a confidence standpoint...

Its funny how people are conceding that he's going to get by Margarito in June... Tony may well crash this party in June...

It may well be Martinez-Margarito II in September-October instead... Then the fight could be at 160...

I doubt the Wolak fight is happening. It's most likely gonna be Cotto-Margarito and the winner of that faces Sergio. If that's the case, I'd order either one of those fights on PPV. They'd be big fights.
