Hopkins doesn't give a good god damn as rwk would say. In his mind we should all enjoy watching his style even if he's boring. Btw I have a bad feeling its going to be a very dirty fight.

I only agree with your middle paragraph.

Giving him compliments and accolades and **** for doing what he does only furthers the distancing of boxing from the mainstream. Could you imagine trying to bring over a friend who's only a very casual boxing fan...trying to convince him boxing's a great sport and fun to watch...only to show him a current Hopkins fight? How would you look?

Oh but for the record, I bet on Hopkins at 2:1 tonight. Still not going to make me like him or what he does.

The ultimate was when he grabbed the PR flad out of Tito's hand and threw it on the ground right there in PR in front of everybody. lol classic

If he were a public speaker or a comedian, he would be idolized or hated. Same way he is now in many respects. He says what he feels and is wrong and right sometimes or either one or the other in other respects.

At the end of the day, you can say whatever you'd like to say about him or his opinion, but you can't call him a liar. He is the honesty that everyone claism they want to hear.

People need to remember that when you ask for honesty, just because it's his truth doesn't mean you will like it.

I rarely completely agree with him on matters outside of skill or technique, but I commend him for his honestly 100%.
