if both do well in the next couple of years, the rematch of ak mm could be built up to be epic and up there with the great rivalries.

I think both khan and madainas' styles with give bradley and alexander major problems.

I would like to see what both do with other top contenders first.
Nothing was disturbing Khan from taking a tune up, He has just got rid of his mandatory a week ago, am sure he has the right to a voluntary defense before another mandatory comes up for him, Since winning the belt from Kotelnik Khan has fought 2 mandatories in Salita and Maidana (Interim).

Ortiz and Maidana might have a go at it again depending on what GBP wants to do with both fighters but the ultimate go for Khan should be the Bradley/Alexander winner.

I will say that Ortiz vs Maidana II will not end any differently than the first one, except Maidana probably won't go down three times. I see nothing in Ortiz that makes me think he could go in against Maidana and not get thrashed again. If GBP wants to continue to make money off Ortiz, they should keep him away from any punchers...

Lmaol another one that doesnt know **** about boxing. Maidana doesnt have any boxing skills the guy has only power that is it that is all he relies on. And ortiz dont have the skills to keep him off you must be on crack have u seen the first fight how easily ortiz dropped maidana 3 times and was boxing the **** of him? The mistake he did was BRAWL with him had he done what he did the first rounds box and move he would of tko maidana. What u meAn would be if ortiz has the power to keep maidana off and he does the reason why maidana lasted with khan was because khan couldnt put him down with all those combos he was landing.

The question to maidana ortiz 2 is not the skills and power of ortiz cause he can beat him easily the question is will he be smart in the fight? And when he gets hit will he ***** out and stick to his gameplan or throw everything out the window and brawl with maidana making the same mistakes like the first fight.

whats so terrible about the ibo? they have the two highest ranked contenders fight for their belt and anyone that wins it has to defend against top opposition for the sake of being stripped. no sanctioning fees, computerized rankings...u name it

the WBC is a joke with their silver/diamond belt and now the corruptness of the WBA and their 3-4 champs per divisions are right up there. the IBF hardly ever care for unifications either

They are the only organization that rates all fighters at any given weight and they do it in a computerized fashion that removes a great deal of the human bias that ruins the rankings of the 4 major bodies.

No, the IBO isn't as significant, but there is nothing about the way they crown their champions and conduct their business that makes them a joke.

When was the last time the IBO stripped someone, invented a "super title", or a "silver title"?
The IBO is a joke. They hand out their "titles" to journeyman level fighters. Their Middleweight champion is Peter Manfredo, their Welterweight champion is Lovemore Ndou. The list goes on. The only two champions they have that are right are Wladimir Klitschko and Jean Pascal. I would say that the WBA has passed the IBO as the worst orginzation but I have never considered the IBO as legitimate anyways.

yup , its just a money grab from the wba and gbp like any promoter will just go along with it , it gives their guy a more prestigious sounding title and another in their stable a chance to get a (fake) title to fool the fans . INevitably people will blame khan and have conspiracy theories like " this gives khan a chance to duck maidana!"

There's a HUGE difference between a guy with just power standing there getting hit waiting to sling one power shot to KO a guy and Maidana...who has power, heart, chin, and enough movement and determination to be forcing some action no matter what at least at some point in a fight. If it were as easy as you made it out to be, Khan, who is a better boxer than Ortiz (close to indisputable), would not have almost folded under the pressure and got taken out. The point with Maidana is that he'll take a bunch of shots because he knows that's what he has to do to get you to open up and get to your chin (knowing he can take shots too). Complete one dimensional brawlers do not have repeated successes like Maidana. I bet on Khan to beat Maidana, and I actually like Ortiz as a person/boxer whereas most don't. But I'm still able to respect Maidana. Not everyone has to be a slick boxer to attain respect. Give him some credit you douche.

Is that why maidana has won many amatuer tournaments in argentina and got to the semi-finals in a world finals amatuer tournament? Maidana has a good jab, great closing down abilities, good uppercut, great heart, granite chin and not to mention he has knockout power in both hands. He is far from a one dimensional slugger. He would annhilate ortiz again and make him quit. Maidana will become a champion one day, he is a great fighter.

Yeah his ability to close the distance is really underrated. As is his uppercut for which Khan (and Roach) had no defense for.

I'd stop a little short of everything you said though. Not sure I'd classify him as a great fighter.
