I was one of these people who was high on Tavoris Cloud because he seemed to close the Woods fight out really strong after struggling a little in the middle rounds and I even bashed Dawson for not fighting him. I think what the problem is with fighters like this is they are actually pretty good when it comes to throwing combinations and all that. But they don't know how to pace themselves. What runs through a guy like Cloud's mind I think is that if he doesn't score an impressive knockout then the networks aren't gonna want to touch him with a ten foot pole because he doesn't really have a strong contract with a big time network like a lot of these other fighters do. And the less often he fights, the worse he'll look due to ring rust and the interest in him will just keep getting lower and lower.

I do personally think Cloud is capable of possibly being a better fighter than what he has shown. But he better prove it soon and start fighting more often.

I seem to remember him going the distance with Omar Pittman and Brian Norman.

Who the **** are those guys?

      Exactly.
      Its about recent performances.

      Cloud should have steamrolled Zungia.

Its very possible that he overlooked him.

      I know I would have.

Pascal is beating guys at a elite level.

Even though I agree with a previous post that Dawson gave away that fight.

I'm not sure if Cloud is any better that Dicanue.

lol oh please Jean Pascal is a throw back fighter to the 70s and 80s and would probably beat the likes of Bob Foster, Michael Spinks, and Matthew Saad in the ring today.

Na, Diacanue or however you spell his name is woeful in my opinion. Cloud would beat him pretty easily. The thing about Cloud is he is pretty skilled, but I think the pressure of knowing he has to climb the latter where looking impressive is concerned is what caused him to gas out really badly in the middle of that fight. I may have to watch it in it's entirety though to really make a judgement call. I didn't see one round of it.

            You can't be serious.

            I like Pascal.

But so far hes yet to even exceed Dawson's riegn as champion.

He kinda reminds me of a big Shane Mosley.

            Not prime Shane though.

Like the Mosley that fought Cotto.

Dude puts everything in every punch.

Its possible he wears himself out going for the quick KO.

              Hes gotta be frustrated.

He hasn't had one in awhile.

He use to get KO's all the time.

Hopkins is gonna beat Pascal like it's nothing and show just how bad the Lightheavyweight division is. And on top of it, Dawson's stock will take a big hit.

You only say this because he beat your best American fighter Chad Dawson.

Chad Dawson beat Tarver(X2) Johnson(X2) Adamek and Eric Harding.

Pascal needs to build his resume.

The legends you mentioned are so beyond Pascal right now.

Pascal can be great. But hes not there yet.

Yes, but I'm not talking about resume. I'm talking about performance in a head to head to match-up.
